Examples are the fishing hook episode and the suds episode. In the former Patrick tempts Spongebob into doing activities he knows aren't safe, even after Mr Krabbs told him it could cost them them their lives. In the later, Patrick convinces Spongebob that doctors are bad and to let him handle it. Unfortunately, since Patrick wasn't all there even in the classic episodes, this makes things worse.

Back then Spongebob was a good person who was rather naive but well meaning and Sandy was borderline mary sue and Krabs wasn't that much of an asshole, but as time marches on Patrick is so fucking dumb he's forgotten how to breathe and eat at some point, Sandy is just as bad as Plankton, Krabs has literally gotten away with murder more than once and Spongebob is sociopath who intentionally ruins things that don't line up with his way of thinking.
