What more needs to be said about this match? Frog won by only 7 votes.
Both characters would eventually not even it make it past the first round at least once, oddly enough.
Frog barely defeated Liquid in Round 1, barely defeats Chief in Round 2, almost wins against Snake in Round 3.

The Metroid series was literally at a sinking point around this time so Samus's win was quite shocking.
