It does this like every few hours. I'll be doing stuff on Chrome or on my phone or playing a game and i'll come back and the button at the top right will have disappeared. but if i go into my add-ons its there and "enabled" but I have to disable it and reenable it to get it to work again.

Yeah, I've had that happen to me once or twice, too. In fact, just a minute ago YouTube was loading ads but uBlock was active. Had to exit out of YouTube twice in order to get it working properly.

idk if it was a uBlock update (last update was on the 2nd of april) or a Firefox update that is causing this. It only started happening within the past couple days

I had issues with it a while back, and wound up having to get an older version to make it work right.

Firefox has been pretty garbo since they decided to imitate Chrome honestly <_<

It happens when the sub process for uBlock outright crashes (which doesn't notify the user when this happens). Re-enabling and disabling will restart the sub process.
