It really is one hell of a great movie. I'll for sure see it at least one more time in theaters.

Can someone tell me what I missed? I had to use the bathroom and I missed between when Groot used his own limb to make the handle for Stormbringer and then the next thing I saw was Thor on Earth fighting in Wakanda

You missed nothing. Thor just teleported somehow.

I'm guessing that's something that Stormbreaker can just do

Before they start the forge, Dinklage mentions that Stormbreaker could probably summon the bifrost on command.

You didn't miss any of Thor's story-line, but I don't remember the order everything was edited with respect to the other two locations.

Such smart storytelling elements, too. *so many spoilers ahead*

Introducing Thanos by showing he kicked all of Asgards ass and letting him kick Hulks ass, Lokis death and the visceralness (and the redemption he brought leading up to it), the Vision-Witch relationship (also, Ill bet money they got his consciousness uploaded before his death), and the general development of Thanos. Plus having so many characters make so many difficult decisions Quill with Gamorah, Witch with Vision, Thanos with Gamorah, and more. Intense shit.

I'm willing to bet Loki used a duplicate to attack Thanos.

He was off-screen for a bit then he just walks up to the guy who kicked Hulk's ass and tries to stab him while he was in plain view? Nah. Loki escaped.

Quill is basically the opinions of the audience. I was pissed when he fucked up the Gauntlet-seizing, though

Can Lokis duplicates harm people, though? I think Loki was for real trying to kill Thanos. I think hes really gone, but then again Thors statements to Rocket make it just gray enough. Id be a little bit annoyed if he returned, tbqh, because it would almost certainly lead to more mischief and I found that unbearable in Ragnorok.FLUFFYGERM posted...

His duplicates definitely can attack people. Pretty sure he had one attack the dark elf in Thor 2 (and that duplicate also "died", leading to the fake-out ending).

Feels like it kinda cheapens the moment if they do that again. But who knows?

Meh, everyone who died is gonna come back at the end anyway. No way the God of Mischief is gonna be the only one without a plan.

I wonder if the Soul Stone might only be able to resurrect those it has taken? I think the likes of Loki and Vision are truly gone (unless Visions brain has been saved in a system)

Yeah, Loki's death felt weird to me because he's much too cowardly/savvy to know that attacking Thanos would be a smart move. One of his whole things is slinking away from fights he knows he can't win.

Plus, apparently he should've turned back into a frost giant upon death, anyway, since his Asgardian form is like an illusion or something? Dunno about this since it's something I read earlier and not sure if they mentioned this in a previous movie.

I'm sure a combination of the Soul, Time, and Reality Stones could just completely bring people back to life, regardless of when they died.

Apparently, Quicksilver signed on a multi-film contract starting with Age of Ultron, so they'll prob be bringing him back too for some reason.

Anyone else notice that Thanos still has the stones before disappearing through the portal at the end? Yet we see him without it just before that.

Also, anyone notice that Vision was fully healed when Thanos grabbed the stone?

I have a funny feeling between Strange and Vision, that...while Thanos did succeed, the Mind stone sent him to la la Land in the meantime under Vision's will (maybe like a subroutine of a program/robot/computer, ala Banner's explanation) which might buy the remaining heroes time to regroup.

We have seen the mind stone do this before, back in Ultron with Stark. And Thanos' ending matches too perfectly with what he said he'd do when he won.

This would made the movie a 10/10 honestly.

That's Thor's fight theme now. Screw it.

I might buy your theory more if they had only shown Thanosperspective on what happened. As it was, though, we saw everybodys reaction, so I think what he wanted to happen did happen, and he simply did exactly as he said he would.

The non-gauntlet moment was some kind of vision, a mental disengagement from reality to a safe, peaceful place for a brief moment to confirm that he would do as he said.
