Why can't people let people choose the language they want?

I think it's how insufferable some members of the "sub" crowd act. I don't care either way. I respect wanting the original "pure" version, but personally prefer the ease of watching a dub when it comes to animation. Live action stuff needs the real language for me though. Having Russians speak to each other in English with accents feels wrong

The idea of re-dubbing stuff aimed at an audience over 6 or 9 still seems weird to me...

Then again, I suppose the Netherlands is one of the few countries that basically subs everything, unless it is aimed at very young kids...

I like it when games offer a choice. I just don't like it when people try shoving their choice down my throat claiming that their opinion is better...

One thing was said that it can take atmosphere away from the game because we don't understand it. Another thing was that we couldn't tell if the JP VA was good or bad because we, again, don't understand Japanese... But they were sure that it didn't matter as long as they like it better...
