The West Allis bar has been a staple in the city for more than 30 years but people are now calling for a name change after a Facebook photo of its name went viral. Paress Heubner said "It's, at the very least, unecessary, at the most offensive" She posted the picture of the bar name and logo on her facebook after a friend told her about it as it shows a horrifying cartoon image..She said "i was like, let's put it on facebook and something needs to be done sand said because they just crossed the line...it's 2018. This is insane" Michael Reece, a friend of hers agreed and said it was time for a name change. He thinks that some people will say it's a joke but a lot of people will take it for what it is. Christine Nell, another resident says the name is offensive and outrageous Kristian Plumeri and his wife Diane who own the bar said they took it over 9 years ago and said they CHANGED the name because they thought it added more to their business... Diane apologized for it being offensive but the business has been there for 30 years and said "I just don't feel someone's right to be offendd is more important than my rights to own a business. Come on in and check it out. We have many customers who love our motto" Kristian claims his WIFE was the one who didn't want to change it and now they will consider a name change because of the backlash it. The couple appear to be strong trump supporters too who are using this media attention to KEEP THE NAME as Diane thanked the people who support them and lashed out at "snowflakes" Do you think this bar name is offensive? let's see what people think.
