played tf2 since 2014, never played OW, don't really like the "style" of OW so I never picked it up

My issue with TF2 is that 1 in every 5 games is actually good

Pub servers are a nightmare like 70% of the time. I get really salty over this shit

TF2 is a much better game but it's in a terrible place right now. Too old and no support from Valve.

TF2 had clear jobs. I haven't played much of OW, but it seems like everyone just goes out to do whatever.

Even without the patches, console TF2 was super fun, miss it quite a bit

I play Overwatch now but there some of the character ideas were not improved upon at all, namely Demo and Engineer.

I'd like it to be a more complex game but I'll take what I can get

Yeah, I always had more fun playing TF2, even on console. Each unit had special strengths and weaknesses, plus (on PC) you could change your arsenal to have more fun. Having almost 30 characters just brings too much overlap to be TF2-tier fun.

That said, Torbjorn is supposed to get a rework sometime in the future (after Symmetra), so they'll probably rip off some of Engy's useful ideas. The obvious one is an extra machine to give other units mobility (probably not teleporters), letting him pick up the built turret and relocate it, etc.
