Board 8 > SWERY released a very basic The Good Life prototype demo today.

Since the kickstarter is on its way to fail, they rushed a prototype out to try and drum up some excitement. It only took me about a half hour to play through. No cat stuff in the demo, sadly, just taking some photos of stuff.

I was honestly really disappointed. I really hope the writing in this isn't indicative of how the actual game would be written. Not one conversation seemed natural, and the main character is rude and vulgar for no reason. One conversation begins by her telling someone the weather is ruining her mood, and the other guy's face isn't helping. From what I can tell, the two of them are new acquaintances at best. At one point, the phrase "son of a fucknut" is uttered.

I would say I guess we'll see, but unless we witness a miracle in the next week, we probably won't. Which might be a good thing, so I don't waste the $50 I already pledged to this.
