It'd be the best thing ever just think about it.
You get to explore Diagon Alley, pick a wand, getting sorted into your house, do classes to learn more magic, do quests, Quidditch, explore the forbidden forest, the lake, tri wizard tournaments, explore other schools, duelling make potions. The guys that made stardew valley are making a magic academy simulator game with multiplayer. Not exactly an mmo, but im super excited about it

Rowling keeps a tight leash on the property and doesn't really want anyone else to add to the lore besides herself. I can appreciate her being protective (and I can think of a few IPs that should have been more protected) but that deprives us fans of comics, spin-offs, cartoons etc. Hopefully she'll sign off on an MMO when she's finished the Fantastic Beasts stuff.
