Ill let you know if I get it, but all my classmates with no experience got similar offers

Its like those girls who list that they want a guy who is 65, has a 12 inch dick, a house, 6 figures etc

they never end up were their ideal guy. Its just an ideal. When they actually take a look at their applicants, they become more realistic

I've been looking for some faculty positions in online colleges and generally this is what I see as requirements:

- PhD or other terminal degree
- Years of teaching experience
- Tons of publications
- Conference presentations
- Experience designing curriculum or instructional technology
- Years of experience in specific niche duties of that discipline that most faculty don't even do under their normal jobs

Oh, and these are for part time adjunct positions. It only gets worse with full time (non-tenure track) lecturer positions.

If the preferred requirements are actually the minimum, then just state it as such. Don't waste the applicants' time.

I think applying to faculty jobs would have to be the worst. Submission of a research plan tailored to the school sounds like a particularly long and arduous process.
