If that's true, that's awesome. I love it when things like that happen. It makes you rethink the role and how it may avert specific stereotypes because it was written with a man in mind. Another good example is Salt. The titular role of Salt was originally intended for a guy, until they gave it to Angelina Jolie. You can definitely tell the gender shift in the first 15 minutes of the movie, when she's being tortured in her underwear. Hollywood movies don't typically show physical torture of women heroes; that's something more common with male heroes. Women heroes are usually seen as effortlessly beating the baddies, or getting out of a tough spot right before being hurt dramatically. You can also see throughout the movies how she subverts various female hero tropes due to the fact it was originally a male role. --- Congratulations!
