I don't really have an issue with this kind of music even though I'm not white. I even listen to some. Most of it is pretty far removed from what most people typically think of as "white pride", being far more about their interest in ancient European culture than anything else, which is fine.

I think the problem with "white pride" is that it's usually hateful in nature. English pride, Norwegian pride, German pride, Italian pride, etc., are all things no rational person would object to, because it's saying "I love my culture and heritage"... While the generic "white pride" is arguably making a similar claim, it's not based on a specifically tangible thing, but rather a homogenous racial movement that's main agenda seems to exist to advertise its supremacy.

Where it gets murky is in where you define culture. North America is extremely admixed, so it's harder for some groups to have a specific cultural identity. Also, "African-American" has become a unique heritage (because reasons) and being "black" is different than being "white" in the sense that the white people tend to have more of a direct connection to their old country to draw upon. Those who don't should embrace "being American" or "being Canadian" and forget about what came before it. I'm first generation, so my ties to Europe are pretty fresh, but my wife's got family that have been here for hundreds of years (New England / Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, mainly) and simply can't relate to her cultural past. She's "white" more than she is British or French or something.

This whole thing is very much a gray area.
