its like they paced it for kids who are just coming off picture books and started kindergarten.

how to increase text speed? im sure every text adventure game has this feature.

Can't you hit b to just make it instantly finish? I'm pretty sure that was a thing, at least on the 3DS version

Text speed in Phoenix Wright is dynamic. It is paced so as to match the speed that the character is talking at and is a subtle detail that really adds to its strength as a great visual novel series.

Only in the 3DS version, this wasn't in the DS versions.
I think it is even in the Ace Attorney Trilogy in the 3DS, which would make those versions easier to play.
