If you have GameFAQs' built-in image embedding on right now, it need to be off for this topic because it automatically corrects the problem. But for people using different image embedding scripts, or not using one at all, do both of these image links load correctly for you?




For the past month or so, ImgTC links in that first format of i.imgtc.com/ don't load for me no matter what, while ImgTC links in the second format of imgtc.com/i/ do still work. I have seen multiple others on here mention ImgTC links not working, and all the ones I saw that were broken were in the first format. Since then, this site's administrator @Devin_Morgan changed GameFAQs' built-in embedder to automatically change ImgTC links in the first format to the second, hence why I said it needs to be off for this topic.

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if ImgTC links in the first format still work for anyone, and if they do, what those people are doing differently that causes them to still work. So to help my research, please tell me if both of the images links load fine for you, or if only the second loads for you, or if it's some other outcome.

I use GameFAQs built in image embedding, but if I turn it off and click, only the second works.

I'm on mobile and have the setting at "make links clickable only" and only the 2nd link works. I don't have any scripts either.

I know that ImgTC doesn't have a reason to exist anymore now that Imgur's direct linking problem is gone. This topic is just me doing research to prove a point to someone else, who is claiming to me that their dead ImgTC link is still working for some reason. I don't want to name any names. *cough*@Caelthus*cough*

Anyways, another reason for this topic is to hopefully educate people who didn't know that their previously saved ImgTC links that were in the first format can still be recovered. By changing the URL to the second format and then re-uploading to Imgur, those broken links that seemed to b gone forever can be recovered.

Both look the same to me and both load though i probably misread the question in the topic as usual \o/

Edit: yeah misread usual, turned off embedding and the first doesn't load with the script.
