They have the privilege to work at McDonalds, and some of them look so uninterested and bored. Dont even have passion for the restaraunts industry

My cousin works there, hes been there for his 14th year, and he works hard, advances the field, etc. But some just treat it like a job and clock in and clock out, thats fine but dont show the customer. I suggested to the manager to fire this girl since she was playing on her phone instead of cooking and he said she will since she was caught stealing food.

Then they should be fired! If I was their manager I would fire them on the spot!

This is a professional franchise! Show some pride in your restaraunts and career.

If they dont think its a career they shouldnt waste a space for people who make it their career. There are HS students who after graduating say they will work there.

Plus, managers and their job projects. I bet the uninterested ones arent contributing to their projects, or productivity. My cousin was involved in advancing his store, having new ideas, and had team conferences to foster improvement. And retreats every year

I do, and extra ketchup. They dont give enough.

I feel like they should have an associates degree to work there at minimum. You need to learn skills to work properly that some lack. I wrote a nasty email when someone couldnt speak properly.

Most young people have no work ethic these days, if you're getting paid, you have to honor your work, for your costumer's sake and your brands' sake.

Totally agree with you TC! When I used to work at Rite-Aid I handled the cash register like a champ, swept the floors thoroughly, and cleaned the fridges spotless all while most of my coworkers were lazy as fuck. It was just a temporary job and I knew I would be doing something better after I finished school but I still gave that job all I had because a job is a job. Do everything in life with 100% effort and don't act like you're too good for it.

Anyone can do the job. All kinds of people end up working at those joints because you don't really need to be good at anything in order to work there. So eventually you'll run into people who are content to do the bare minimum to not get fired.

That is why you can stand out just by working hard and being enthusiastic. Everyone else won't give a damn about trying, so you'll stand out and get promoted and whatnot.

there are lazy workers at every job though who do the bare minimum to not get fired.

Even at my office, it's a state job so it's just merely reinforcing the "Lazy state worker" stereotype. But I take comfort in knowing those kinds of people probably fail their yearly review and will never move up

it's not like you get paid a comfy salary working for the state. It's basically minimum wage until you start hitting the salary cap. But good luck on that cause there haven't been raises in 3 years here

thats how it is, people who don't take their jobs seriously get shown the door, and people who do want to be better for themselves climb the ladder. I've gotten a $10,000 raise after only a year here, with no office experience prior, and I didn't finish college and I'm only 22. I'm probably the youngest in the state to get this job title and I worked hard every day, meanwhile my coworkers are content with just showing up to collect a paycheck

"The privilege to work at McDonald's" has got to be the most depressing set of words I have seen in my entire life.

Working at McDonald's fucking sucks, I'm at the point where I think I'd rather be broke. So much fucking noise, so many things you need a manager's permission to do and yet have to do immediately; talk about having your cake and eating it too! So many dishes I gotta put up despite being the only person tasked with cooking anything. And whenever I'm off, whoever's there in my place screws everything up for me when I get back!

I'm only there because nobody else within 50 miles would hire me. You don't even have to be good enough for Wal Mart to get a job at McDonald's.

It is a career, not with that attitude! As you know, there are people who are happy to work there and wish to work there after finishing their school

He's a manager, and works hard to train and improving his craft. He designed yearly retreats for the team, has several projects, that each employee is required to partake in. He's award winning, and people say they prefer their fast food to their competitors!

It is a privelige. While I was waiting in line the other day, this little boy said to his mom his dream is to work here when he grows up. His momma told him she'll get him an interview when he comes of age.

You have to try harder! There are lots of jobs.

You should get a letter of recommendation from your McDonalds manager. Work hard. If you don't like fast food as a career, what do you like? The superstore industry is fun. Same with grocery workers. You do know there is a craft to it.

Fast food is an art and skill. Learn your burger techniques. People will notice you. Lots of people make fast food their life career. Look at your place, and see all the 40-50s there at McDonalds who were there for 30 years. Same for most places. Careers doesn't mean business, law, medicine, engineering....lol.

The only real hustlers in the restaurant industry are the lead cooks - who actually can build up a solid resume if they really strive - and waiters who can potentially have access to large sections of tables if theyre more veteran since theres actually decent untaxed money in that. If that's the case, you would be shocked as there are LOADS of 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s working at fast foods all around your city!

It's horrid to only let teenagers work there. Do you want the fast food stores to burn down? Especially the teens that suck at the job! How pathetic. Those 20s who make it their careers can run circles over those kids.

I heckle the idiot teens if they can't get the job right. HAHA! You can't work the register! C'mon kid, learn!!!

I always stop and check the bag vigorously and usually send sandwiches back if it's a teenager that gave me it.

Exactly, but the ones in lower positions need to take it seriously.

Or else they shouldn't deserve to work.

Teenagers can take a part time job, but the full time jobs need to have actual people who take it seriously!

McDonalds can't only be an entry level. There are millions of AMericans who are ONLY ever good for entry levels in their life!
