I'm pretty sure that Bethesda's stance heading into Skyrim was that they'd rather have their own IP than be a slave to GRRM's, but that was many years ago. The only way that ES VI doesn't happen is if GoT displaces it. --- BKSheikah owned me so thoroughly in the 2017 guru contest, I'd swear he used the Lens of Truth to pick his bracket.
