IIRC, it's around $140 a bottle at Costco, but I haven't bought a bottle in over a year.

Anyone who drinks Blue Label other than for some special celebration with friends where you can say, 'look we are drinking blue label' has no taste in scotch tbqh. Overpriced and not even close to being worth it. That same money could be spent on MANY other significantly better scotches.

Try Macallan 12, its a good gateway scotch. Almost everyone likes it cuz its generally on the lighter side. And make sure its Macallan 12 and not Macallan gold or Macallan 10, there is a big difference in how they all taste. Drink it neat or with a few drops of cold water. This is the best way for newcomers to enjoy.

I mean, Ive been trying a lot of hard liquors recently and Ive come to the conclusion.... anyone drinking any hard liquor for the taste or smoothness is pretty foolish.

Just get the cheapest stuff that gets you drunk or tipsy. Whichever you prefer.

The truth. A good single malt is far superior. I'm partial to Laphroaig and Lagavulin, but i like the smoky peat flavor.

Its an acquired taste but when you do acquire it, the taste and feeling of scotch is so much better than cheap alcohol. Like, I'm drinking yamazaki right now, and I can let it swoosh around my mouth and eventually swallow, and the residual taste and feeling on my tongue and on the back of my throat is amazing. Im not even buzzing, and I would way prefer this over taking shots of something cheap. Eventually I'll get a nice light buzz and it'll feel even better.

And for those of you guys who already like scotch, i would recommend Highland Park 18. Much better than the 12 or 15 although those are pretty solid too. Solid scotch all around.
