You shouldn't be confused after literally a dozen times though. Corporations value quick learners. They also value people who take initiative, like if you can find the answer for yourself instead of asking someone to explain it to you.

This is just straight up bullshit. I have never heard anyone ever say that at any job I've ever had in my life. In fact every job I've had where someone trained me, they've actually said the opposite. "Take your time and learn everything the right way, these things take time for everyone to learn but learn it right." Is something I've heard at every job I've ever worked at.

I'll add that almost every place I've worked expected their employees to keep asking job-relevant questions and not assume or fear what the response might be, mainly because the company wanted your performance to be right. Doing things wrong can be very costly and sometimes unsafe. There was one place where the leadership and other employees hated questions and it was easily the most toxic job site I've ever been a part of. Anyway, I think some posters here are assuming the woman explained dozens of times specifically to the guy wanting to ask and that the woman is not in a leadership role as well. (The original info did not specify.)

You meet very few people actually like this in real life, and when you do, you either ignore them or mock them to their face. Only in the world of the Internet do they have some kind of voice, and you make it worse by sharing it.

I guess thats one way to try to get laid. Not sure why that wouldnt apply to a man as well. Explaining something a dozen times usually moves to some form of coaching or correction.
