Should I play the other games first. I haven't really played a single player game in a while so I want to see if I can get engrossed in one.

Why pick this one? There are better one player games in the last few years.

Do yourself a favor and play the only good DA game, Origins. Inquisition is a MMO disguised as a single player game.

Just do yourself a favor and play Witcher 3, came out of a few months after and it's one of the best games ever made.

Inquisition is alright if you love grindy open world rpgs and don't mind that the story is lackluster. If you're more interested in playing a good game, give dragon age origins a shot.

Inquisition is pretty decent. Not as good as 1 but better than 2.

I heard there are technical issues with the steam version of Origins?

Either way, I'm gonna wait for it to go on sale.

Played through it twice on Steam, never had any issues even with a ton of mods. By the way I recommenced looking at a few top mod lists as there's a few non major you may want to download.

Is it easy to mod?

Yeah, the game was built with mods in mind has a nice interface to manage them. It's perfectly playable without modding, but there are a few unofficial patches that fix miscellaneous bugs if you're interested.

Yeah, if you wanna be extra lazy with it you can use the Nexus Mod manager, I know some people hate it but it works very well with DA:O.

Have fun. Prefer Inquisition over Origins myself though both are worth playing. Definitely dont need to have played prior games for it.

I should go back and do the last DLC for it at some point though.

Odd. Origins has almost no relevance and i didnt play 2 and i understood it fine :o I can certainly see how playing 2 would add more meaning to Hawke and the Conclave but not necessary to understand. Not that it would really matter if it was what with the codex and simply being able to ask about it anyways.
