Criminal Defense lawyer, Lauren Wimmer has VOLUNTEERED to represent the 2 black men who were wrongfully arrested at a Philadelphia Starbucks who says that race clearly played a role in the incident!!

She said "I would to hear the 911 call on this case. Can you imagine the 911 call if it was "there's 2 white women sitting there. One of them asked to used the bathroom and she didn't order anything, come quick!"

Lauren isn't identifying the me outside a Starbucks at 18th and Spruce but said that the arrest of the 2 young black men who were simply waiting to be joined by a friend was blatantly discriminatd against based on their race and it is inexcusable and illegal.

Protests broke out in front of the store with Black Lives Matter signs who are calling for a boycott on the chain

They carried signs and shouted through bullhorns as they entered the store and demanded the firing of the manager. Starbucks said that the manager is no longer working at the store

Lauren is taking on the case pro bono after hearing about it from real estate investor Andrew Yaffe, the white man who was the one the black men were waiting for. He's a family friend as he was there to discuss real estate transaction

Police claims they were called by starbucks because the men asked to use the washroom but did not pay for anything and refused to leave after sitting inside.

Lauren has represented many social justice activists and is a pro-marijuana advocate as she believes that every person deserves human rights

I havent seen the video or anything, but my assumption is he owner wanted them gone. Police asked them to leave. They refused. What do you expect police to do in that scenario?

Strictly speaking, if the police give you an order, you have to comply. The reason for them being summoned is irrelevant in that case. Although, the police are also required to tell you why you have to move along.
