No wait it wasn't him that created Mcdonalds, it was the two Mcdonalds brothers and their revolutionary speedy system, and he just took credit and created the empire with lower standards than what they always wanted.

Amazing movie, Michael Keaton was ruthless and I loved it. Dude has had quite the comeback the past few years.

It actually made me crave a mcdonalds burger too haha. Made me wonder how good they probably tasted 50 years ago before pink slime.

Pretty crazy how far it has deviated from its original product. Can't imagine those McDonald brothers love the changes.

Oh and Super Size Me probably didn't help either.

Also, Ron Swanson as one of the mcdonalds brothers was a treat.

The whole part about how the McDonald's brothers never received any royalties because of the handshake agreement and not being able to prove it made me really sad

The brothers wouldve never been able to expand the business like Kroc did, I think is the point. They didnt even have the know how to ensure their royalties would be set in stone. Do feel bad for them though

Oh man I remember that. Lol the controversy actually made mcdonlads remove that option outright, but I doubt sales took much of a hit because it's still the number one fast food joint in the world. It literally transcends borders, being found in places like china, russia, etc. Probably one in korea too.

Just, to see that billion dollar empire grow in the last 60 years... it's just insane.

Yeah that really was. Made me feel incredibly bad for them.

I love at the end how it shows Kroc stealing that speech he heard, showing that the dude just takes and takes without giving credit to anyone. Just takes for himself. And maybe that's the kind of personality needed for a business, for an empire really.

I dunno, from the way the movie showed it, seems like it was Sonneborn who was really responsible for the growth of mcdonalds and without him kroc's whole business plan would have collapsed in on itself.

Business isnt a one sided arrangement, Kroc had the initial vision of the Golden Arches and in seeing the brand potential. That other folks helped him out in achieving that vision is pretty much a given.
