You don't need a fight stick for it, and using a fightstick doesn't make you magically better because you have to relearn the controls

Honestly I just use my cheap Logitech F310 controller with it and it handles just fine.

Nah, a controller works just fine. I got so used to the controller that playing on a fight stick feels very weird to me. Which is weird because I always tend to play fighting games on a fight stick as my first choice.
