Lets say both a fit & unfit person eats the same amount of calories a day.

Yet if both were to do some exercises together, the unfit person will lose steam faster than the fit one.

Do unfit people use more energy compared to a fit person when doing the same activity?

Fit people tend to have more endurance as a result of being in good physical condition...

So does being fit means the body is better at distributing the calories or something?

So does having a less fit cardio means your body uses more energy to do something compared to a fit cardio?

I'd assume weight would be a factor, more weight to carry around, the quicker you tire out.

I dunno.

I know when I first started exercising back in June, I couldn't got 10 - 15 minutes on an elliptical machine on the lowest setting without feeling like I might die.

Now, I can spend an hour on it on setting 15/20 and just be a little winded and very sweaty. But then I hit the weight machines for a bit, then the treadmill for a bit, and then another 20 - 30 minutes on the elliptical.

Unfit people aren't used to doing exercise, their body doesn't know whats happening.

Huh, so muscle memory affects how much calories we use?

Why do you keep trying to equate it to "how many calories are used?" It doesn't work like that.
