I don't get why, of all rebuttals, they always default to a sarcastic "WE GOT HIM THIS TIME, GUYS!!!" as if any remotely sane person on the planet believes any individual, isolated instance or piece of evidence is that be-all, end-all. It's all one investigation, one process of them stockpiling evidence and flipping their way up the chain.

I'm not even saying they'll definitely find anything impeachable or even anything more scandalous than what we've already found. I just need a little help understanding why facetiously saying we got him this time!!! is the deflection when no one is ACTUALLY saying "we got him this time."

So what did you think the TC implied in that other topic when he gave it the title:
"So. Trump admitted to obstruction of justice on twitter."

Maybe there's just some secret nuance I'm not seeing, because to me that looks an awful lot like "we got him"

Yeah, the got him this time statements always give me a good laugh. Im not sure if the Trumpanzees actually understand how investigations work.

But the investigation is just an attempt by the Democratic deep state to overthrow the Trump administration outside of the law

The subtext I always read to these is "and here is yet another stupid thing Trump said," not "AHA, NOW HE SHALL BE IMPEACHED TOMORROW." It's one continuous investigation where they're adding everything together into one ironclad case, if there is indeed an ironclad case to be made.

I almost mentioned this but decided to focus on one thing at a time, but abso-fucking-lutely. There actually WERE multiple investigations into Hillary. We're still on #1 for Donald.

The thing is, I (I can't speak for anyone else) don't claim "we got him this time" whenever the actual investigation releases new information, because I fully understand that they take time to conclude. I use that phrase against posters who emphatically create topics about said new information with language that implies that a smoking gun was just found that will be the final piece necessary to bring forward charges. Or they make topics titled "Trump admitted to obstruction of justice on twitter" because they think taking the most literal interpretation of Trump's twitter ramblings is some sort of open admission of guilt, and that based on said information impeachment proceedings can begin immediately. How posters such as yourself misconstrue that to mean I'm criticizing the investigation and not the rabid leftists frothing over every piece of new information is beyond me.
