Current Events > Rate my choices of wallpaper and flooring for my apartment.

Ok this is what I'm considering.

Pics didn't really do them justice but you get the gist:

Hallway:
Bedroom:
Livingroom: (it looks green toned irl), I'll have a oaky parquet floor

Kitchen: (floor)
with the cabinet doors having this color:

And then the walls I chose 1005-Y30R:

Those hallway choices remind me of the starting animal crossing wallpaper you get in your house.

people don't wallpaper much in the US anymore either

i mean it's just a sign of the times thing. I'm sure Sweden is on its own pendulum swing and they'll have their own style waves too

for the record i like the wallpaper but I think the bedroom one will get stale once you put it everywhere

Should be left in the 1960s. Just paint your walls a shade of white.

for the record i like the wallpaper but I think the bedroom one will get stale once you put it everywhere

I want a darker bedroom, I'll spruce it up with colorful mats, bed-linen and curtains, lampshades etc. My plan is to use purple, but I can also change the themes to blue, green etc.

I want the bedroom to feel smaller, hence the darker tones, and the wood pattern is calming for me. I also want to use lighting in there to give it an atmosphere I want.

They let me choose what they will put up.

I'm lucky that they are renovating the whole apartment so I get to choose this much, usually it's like one room they will renovate. They have like a set year for each renovation and stuff. Which is included. Same with changing out appliances, the stove is set to be changed 2024.

Get a job, start learning Swedish and it shouldn't be too hard. You can manage with English pretty well but you really need to learn Swedish.

Im kinda forced to with the kitchen since the cabinet doors are that yellow and wont be changed until 2024. But Im gonna decorate with some green tones to contrast and meld well the yellow.

The hallway I want a light welcoming room that connects well to the other rooms.

No I don't really dislike it although patterns are a little noisy to me. I much prefer solid color paint.

Wallpaper isn't super popular here because a lot of people consider it tacky. I think it can look OK if its used as like an accent to a room but would never put it up in a living room. It looks too much like a cheap hotel to me.
