Seems like it'd take a shitload of resources and effort. How does it even float? Can't there be a catastrophic event when the city shits itself and falls into the surface of Venus killing millions of people?

On Venus the clouds are poisonous and it literally rains sulfuric acid. That's not even getting into the million other reasons nothing could survive on Venus

It's pretty cool that Venus is one of the only planets ever where we actually have real surface photos.
