Just at a guess, I'd wager that the acrual ingredients label for most American meals would be a lot longer than anything home made.

High fructose corn syrup, Yellow 5, Red 40, monosodium whateverate, etc etc.

I've been told that a lot on Facebook when I post anything critical of the police, government, military, foreign policy, ultra rich, etc. because of my surname.

Born and raised citizen, grew up on American soil and wouldn't qualify for dual citizenship, I'm guessing?

We've been through this song and dance before, I bring up statistics about intergenerational poverty, you say bootstraps, I bring up criminal statistics and city planning that has effects felt to this day, you focus on black on black crime, I bring up statistically validated evidence that drug and gun laws plus sentencing targets first time offenders who are people of color far harsher than repeat white offenders, you say I'm playing the race card and then defend the judges who are predominantly white men, I point out the racial and gender diversity problems abundant in America, you say boot straps and that clearly more men are qualified than women yet make no effort to address the fact that there are plenty of women with far better credentials and longer careers who get passed over for promotion in favor of men, I bring up all the case studies proving that people often consider a class that is 50% women to be dominated by women, you go off on some other poster because you've lost interest.

I'll save my time since and dedicate it to... I dunno. One of those gacha games I have on my phone.

Good boy, not everyone has been able to learn to shop effectively and make nutritious meals. Heck, many don't know how to make nutritious meals.

The issue here isn't the parents, it's that he grew up in a household where he had a high carb diet that was likely lacking a number of key nutrients that are beneficial to the growth and development of a healthy adolescent. And a number of those eating habits likely stuck. We need to be aware that not everyone is able to recognize these issues and address them. If anything, that's the very reason his parents fed him as they did. :(

If you ran out of room when trying to write the ingredients in your foods, then likely others would run out of room when trying to write down all the vegetables in a salad or other the ingredients in other common American foods.
