Nah. Most of the stuff in the tutorial you won't even really need to use in-game. You'll be fine.

its not hard but there's a learning curve. It gets easier the more you play but honestly, I've died in Witcher 3 after playing 30 hours in and its crazy how easy it is to mess up sometimes.

don't worry about it. you didn't die because the game is crushingly difficult, you died because you haven't gotten hang of the mechanics yet. Keep at it, you'll be mowing down hoards in no time. just spam quen early on, it absorbs a free hit and there's no mana in this game, just cool downs. So abuse quen and dodges until you get better gear and oils etc.

I died in the tutorial too, couldn't complete it. I forget why, got rushed by a dude while someone else fireballed me or something but then you get to the game and it's fine.

Use your potions and signs. Potions last forever it feels like in Witcher 2. Also loot everything to make more stuff.
