dishonored is not better than bioshock or thief but its a good combo of both.

2nd game is ok just more of the same. 1st is really good.

From a story perspective Dishonored 1 is not better than Bioshock but from a gameplay perspective it most certainly blows Bioshock and Thief out of the water (especially the new Thief).

The stealth is technically optional.

I doubt you'd like Dishonored 2 if you didn't like the first game, even though Dishonored 2 is a major improvement. But I also think the first game is outstanding, and the series as a whole is probably my favorite newer video game franchise.

First person in general isn't my favorite. But I found travel and approximation of enemies in order to play the game stealthily cumbersome. I'm certainly willing to admit like Dying Light it's on me. I much prefer stealth options with the perspective of Assasins Creed, Shadow or Mordor or the new Tomb Raider games.
