That's the vibe I'm getting from all the stuff I've heard from people over the years. I might move to Seattle one day so I want to know what its really like

Yeah, I'm an Oregonian. The closer to the coast you are, the more rain per year you'll get. Some years are driar than others.

I'm looking out my window right now and it isn't foggy. (I'm in Oregon.)
We definitely have spring/summer weather - I think last year's summer might have set some sort of record as far as temperature or something, in fact. (Plus some shithead kid set off a firework which causes a huge forest fire, so there was ash and smoke in the air for a long time.) Weather here rarely reaches the extremes you see in other places in the USA. It's quicker to go to rain - or at least grey skies. I generally like the weather here - but I've also lived here most of my life, so I'm used to it. --- This is LinksLiege's signature. It is fantastic. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's more like a constant overcast drizzle. Seattle has a bunch of days with precipitation, but less actual yearly rainfall than cities like New York, Chicago, or Boston.

You mostly just get overcast weather for about six months. Summers hardly get any rain.
