Non-skirmish battles are a cakewalk and Im not even trying hard. Just button clicking and bam, Victory.

You already raised the difficulty by playing with a mouse and keyboard instead of a gamepad since it's a JRPG.

If you're rushing through the story, your levels will fall behind after a few hours. If you're 8-12 behind the curve, it can be challenging.

Enjoy the mandatory side-quests and waiting around for generating KG to progress the story (see: chapter 9 if you don't focus heavily on the "optional content" earlier - I was going to have to grind for about 15 boring-ass hours because of this, so I just stopped playing).

Ive just saved waterpolisand Im level 42. Been doing a crap ton of side quests and errands and walking everywhere.

Good call. I avoided them because I hated them and paid dearly. If I'd known about all the BS I had ahead of me, I'd have spaced things out better and maybe finished it.
