I'd put DKC right behind DKC 2 but I never really liked 3 either

The first DKC is crap. I almost put it at the bottom. I'd say 3 is the better game, but I put it at the bottom instead since I'd rather replay 1 than 3. I remember last time I tried to replay 3 I got frustrated and gave up; it's such a labor to play compared to the others.

I probably have a soft spot for the original because it was one of my first childhood games. DK64 is the superior game I'd say though. I don't see why people like 3 so much

1 and 3 are fantastic as well but you've got 5 amazing games to choose from. Something's gotta be at the bottom!

I think I got DK64 on my Wii U. I love that game and just so much about it. Haha.

I loved the original as a kid, and even for much of adulthood, but the more I play it, the more apparent it is that it's a bad game. I mean, of course any game tends to get less enjoyable the more familiar you are with it, but I can still appreciate OoT (for example) for what it is, even if all the mystery is gone and it's way too easy now.

Maybe it's just a personal thing but I've always loved it. The boss battles are some of the most fun in the series

I remember some of the boss battles taking forever. That might have been a problem in R and TF as well though. They were perfect in 2, not too long or difficult, but not overly simplistic and unvaried like the pathetic bosses in the first game. Honestly, 2 was just about the best in the series with everything - general gameplay, graphics/theme (at least among the SNES games), bonus rooms, lost world, music, boss fights... the only real complaint I have is with the saving.
