I've done that before.

We were out celebrating my friend's birthday and my ex showed up, so I was like, "Ayyy, I gotta go to the bathroom."
Then I ducked out when no one was looking, took the bus home and went to sleep, not answering my phone. This was the middle of the afternoon.

But I always like driving myself rather than getting a ride so that I always have an escape route should I ever need it for whatever reason

no, but there were plenty of times i wished i had less guilt about bailing on certain friends and just did.

I've done this too. My friend got a new place and everyone was going over to hang out. She kept texting me all night telling me if I was still coming over. I'm not sure why I did that.

I wouldn't feel bad if other people were already over there hanging out. I wouldn't do that if I was like the only or one of very few expected guests

I've done it, but just to get vagina instead. Then I told them later the reason and all was well.

I mean, I knew most everybody there. I was actually going to go then started debating whether or not I should by the middle of the day but kept telling everybody I will.
