Really, the ED for flu-like symptoms? You couldn't go to an urgent care or schedule your PCP for tomorrow?

I was convulsing and throwing up this morning, and I was in Mexico when the symptoms started so I figured it was worth finding out know before it got worse.

Like an idiot I drank drinks with ice in them, also the food/silverware is cooked and washed with water.

Usually I stay on those tourist trap resorts where all water goes through a filter, but this was for work so I was expected to eat out.

I caught h1n1 back in 2009. Most weight I've ever lost in 3 days. I got home from work not feeling well then slept for like 16 hours, got up and walked to my brother's apartment since we were in the same building and was like "can you drive me to the hospital because I don't think I can make it that far on my own."

You ever wake up in a pool of sweat? I did twice and it was the nastiest thing that's ever happened to me, it's like someone dumped a bucket of water on me.

Yeah that is exactly what I have then, or maybe something similar. It's so stupid it's like I'm cold so I bundle up but then five minutes later I'm pouring sweat

ER confirmed I have pneumonia

Halfway through a doctor was like "it might be malaria" so thank fuck it wasn't that

where did you go in Mexico?

when i go to Mexico for work, we stayed in polanco in Mexico City and ate out every day for lunch and dinner and didn't get sick

also started every morning with a freshly made smoothie from some smoothie shop

had ice in my drinks but didn't drink any pure water unless it was bottled
