Garrosh went from "wtf am i doing" to "everyone has to die cuz thats what a warchief does!"

Slyvannas has always been evil, conniving, secretive, etc. in warcraft 3 she used her banshees to control people and kill them to get revenge. in vanilla, she was working on a plague to kill all living people that wouldn't hurt undead. her stuff in wrath of the lich king! garrosh and her fought cuz he didn't trust her! then in legion she's off doing her own thing to better her people and her plans. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS.

but all these new players to wow are like "OH THIS EVIL UNDEAD WOMAN SEEMS NICE! SHE MUST BE A NICE PER-- WHY IS SHE BEING MEAN? BLIZZARD DOESNT KNOW HOW TO WRITE! GARROSH 2.0!"

NO SHE WAS GARROSH 1.0!

During the opening event of Legion, when the Alliance and the Horde are staging their attack on the Burning Legion in the Broken Isles, Vol'jin takes a demonic spear to the stomach and dies after naming Sylvanas the new Warchief of the Horde following the battle.

Anyways, everything Sylvanas does is for the benefit of her own people, typically even over the greater Horde. If anything, she's like a less ruined Kael'thas. Willing to do anything to advance their people, except they fucked up and made Kael betray his people to "help".

At least up to the point where she became Warchief. I dont really know Legion lore that well so I'm not sure how she acts as Warchief for the most part.

I remember this now. The Forsaken require the Val'kyr because without the Lich King raising new undead which the Forsaken can free and bolster their population, Sylvanas's Val'kyr are the only beings that can raise new Forsaken.

Pretty sure the sacrificing Val'kyr in her place when she dies is just a nice side bonus.

Like I said, Sylvanas does what she has to to ensure the future and growth of the Forsaken. It's not nice, but they are a race of forcibly turned zombie people.

I wonder if she would still allow the Blood Elves to survive or if she would rather they were all Forsaken elves in a perfect world. Usually the Blood Elves are the only living beings Sylvanas doesn't seem to disdain.
