Yes No View Results An out of control Chinese Space Station, Tiangong-1 is predicted to enter Earth's atmosphere at 11:30am BST (6:33am ET) on Easter Sunday..and it could strike ANYWHERE in the world!! It's carrying highly toxic chemicals and could crash into a number of populated areas including New York, Barcelona, Beijing, Chicago, Istanbul, Rome and Toronto!! When it re-enters the atmosphere, it could unleash a "series of fireballs" that will be seen by observers as scientist do not yet know where it will likely land The European Space Agency is tracking it but due to its gentle descent, Tiangong-1 is experiencing drag as it brushes against the denser outer atmosphere and it is dropping out of orbit by 2.5 miles a day. The dramatic re-entry will be unmissable as keen astronomers are keeping their eyes peeled for this. It is visible to the naked eye and can be seen by people living in mid-latitude areas in both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere Like many satellites and the ISS, it looks like an unblinking white light gliding swiftly across the sky Inside of this space station is Hydrazine that is included in a rocket fuel that causes irritation of the eyes and throat and can lead to cancerous tumours. I guess Alaska, most of Canada, Most of non-Mediterranean Europe, and most of Russia aren't part of the world then? According to the map, I live in one of the "most likely" areas.
