I think humanity will go extinct, but life will resume eventually. Prolly some combination of pollution and a nuclear war or 2 to speed up the process

"The world" won't end. We'll struggle on through and survive. The difference will be that some of us will have to get used to a poorer quality of life than we have now. Of course, that'll probably seem like the end of the world.

can't believe as many people pick the second option as the first. The second is hardly a possibility in today's world, the first is already happening at such a drastic rate and nobody's doing anything about it, it's not even a possibility, it's an inevitability.

y'know what, this was a test of general knowledge. You all failed.

The first two aren't really exclusive. Climate change is going to result in more conflict.

This is also true. The worst case scenario of significant sea level rises would probably cause land wars in America alone, as mass coastal populations are displaced to other parts of the country.

The 'world' will not end no matter what. You could drop a million nukes on the world and it won't end. Humans and a great majority of life would be wiped out, but life on Earth will simply go on, if only in a completely different form and requiring about a million years to recover. Short of something ridiculous happening like sci-fi aliens blowing up the planet a la Star Wars or pushing it into the sun, or a black hole/supernova spontaneously appearing in the Solar System or whatever, nothing feeble humanity can do will inflict more than a few dents on the planet that it will eventually recover from on its own, given time. Humans are a mere footnote on the history of Earth's life forms and it's ridiculous to think humans going extinct will even mean anything to the planet.

Now, the end of mankind, that's a different matter. Either of the first two can definitely do that if they go to extremes.
