Assuming AM you'll have no trouble. If PM then I hope your TSA pre approved or else with security you'll be cutting it close.

yep make sure you have at least 2-3 hours to check-in to start of your journey and the connecting flight.
saying 3 in case of severe delays.

I can do that in like 20 minutes at night.

If in the day, you should be at JFK by 4 even with bad traffic.

JFK is a different beast. The lines at some times especially around holidays make you think waiting on line for a six flags coaster is short.
