No joke, I am right now in a loop where my character just keeps dying over and over again. He died while falling, and now I just keep spawning from a height that just instantly kills me, and the game just keeps endlessly doing it over and over again, and I have no ability to access any options or anything as after the long loads and everything finally transitions I am dead before I can do anything.

I tried quitting and restarting the game and it just takes me back to the same spot. As this game gives you no load options and zero access to any save spots or checkpoints you just go to whatever place they start to spawn you. Only one option, continue, and that just takes you through the loop.

It is a game breaking bug and because of it I will probably have to start a new game again. Just a warning. Do not die from any heights as this might happen because the game is apparently very poorly designed and it has no fail-safe, if you get stuck in this loop there is no way out.

I was falling from somewhere high and after I died my character got in this spawn loop where he just keeps falling without giving me any time to do anything about it, so I just die instantly, and then it reloads and repeats endlessly.

there's a workaround. get to the menu fast travel to location and it should resolve until the devs fix the problem.

What do you mean? uPlay has cloud saves.

Console allows you to overwrite your current save with your cloud save which is often at N earlier point, uplay cloud save us constantly current

Yeah it worked! Trick is you pretty much only have one try to do it (the first time you load as it gives you a bit more time), all I did was mash on the touchpad button while loading and it actually opened before I died! I fast traveled and my character is back! A big thank you goes out to whoever discovered it.
