As long as you see a doctor regularly more power to you, just make sure that theyre keeping an eye on your kidney health

What part of low-carb high-fat hurts your kidney? I thought that was a high-protein thing. I could be mistaken.

When the body is in ketosis the kidneys are filtering out all the ketones from the fat being burned which are fairly large molecules compared to what they normally deal with, between that and your blood becoming slightly more acidic they can become overburdened possibly leading to renal failure

Im not saying keto is necessarily unhealthy but it effects your body in a lot of ways, people should take it seriously

I ate 3,000 calories worth of sweets today so I should be good on carbs until next month :(

I thought carbs are only stored as glucose for like 2 days, and any excess gets turned into body fat. Or, is this more from a "I need to treat myself every now and then" kind of thing. Just curious, I'm sort of new to keto.
