Last week in a mania we had sex almost daily (sometimes more than once a day), went out to dinners, she drank 3 times (which is something she rarely does in general), put on a show for me several evenings (to Pink or No Doubt) and we even danced. Now that the mania is gone, I am now trying to get her stable and wanting to get out of the house and do something. The rainy and gloomy weather really doesn't help if she's already coming down from a mania and/or slipping into a low. Prior to last week, it'd probably been 2 months since the last time we were intimate. And I tried to start a regular lunch date once a week on the day when she goes to therapy back in December, which hasn't been completely successful. And I can't fix this. But for the past few months the sex has dissipated and his sexual attraction towards me has hit effectively zero; what few times we have done stuff he wasn't really into it and did it out of relationship obligation. Came to a head last friday night and I was a figurative ball of misery for most of the weekend. I want a partner, not a roommate. Now that all this is out in the open, finally, we'll be taking steps to (hopefully) make him want to sex me up in earnest, but we'll see what happens. I want it to work but these revelations are going to gnaw at me for a very long time and probably cause me to sabotage the whole thing and then call everything off (or, they won't work, and I'll still call it off.) I want to avoid self fulfilling prophecy but that's where I still am mentally. Plus his stepfather (who was kinda a dick and he never cared for) died recently so he's one state over tending to family affairs so we can't resolve much until he's back, so this limbo combined with sexual frustration is unnerving.
