I'd like to get an email address that is just my name @ domain.com, no abbreviations and no random numbers at the end, but it seems that is impossible.

I've tried gmail, yahoo, outlook, and aol, and they are all taken already.

Also, once a gmail username is taken, there is no way to get it even if it's no longer in use. I don't know if the other email providers are the same, but they probably are, which basically means I can never get one.

I absolutely refuse to add a number at the end just to make it unique. It looks ridiculous.

Could you use a _ or - or . as a separator? Or does that go along with 'adding numbers'?

- is a valid variation for a separate username on outlook. I just use it for job applications and nothing else really.
