Go into your wifi router's settings and see if there's an option to switch to 5 GHz. Some phones actually use bluetooth and wifi on the same wireless chip, if you try to use both at the same time on those phones you'll get interference. Also, look into your modem's/router's settings as to which channel is set, download Wifi Analyzer from the App/Playstore to see which channels are crowded and/or send the strongest signals and adjust your channel accordingly (generally, you want to use an empty channel of available).
