He was in the Hollywood movie and now he's in some film called Shattered Grid which might be a fan film. Not sure.

JDF is one of the Rangers from the original show and fans love him, and love the 90s nostalgia he brings. On top of that, he still practices martial arts and is still in shape so the powers that be still want him to represent. And JDF love the fame it has brought him, and yeah probably wants to milk it. He still does conventions and stuff all the time.

All the other original Rangers aren't seen as high profile as JDF, except for maybe Austin St. John who didn't keep his athletic figure.

Shattered Grid is (I think) just a comic book event for the Power Rangers comics, that they filmed a live action trailer featuring JDF to hype the comic event. As far as I know there's no actual live action movie or series being released based on it.

He's the most popular Ranger/actor and he embraces the role.

JDF's Green and White were always more popular than the rest and he embraced that and capitalized on the opportunity.

You see the others at cons and whatnot, but he's definitely the most popular.

Next is probably JYB. He's a pretty big voice actor. I met him last year (and once before about a decade ago) at Anime Boston and got a chance to hang with him and Vegeta as staff. They were both great.

I really dunno why people likes JDF I mean he was something of a bully. He was homophobic against the Blue Ranger on set. He picked a fight with the Red Ranger IRL, to this day they still don't get along. The dude talks mad shit towards MMA fighters like CM Punk and he recently almost got into a fight with JCVD at a con.
