I remember lurking the Xenogears board back in 08 and imagined everyone posting there looking like this:

The story goes some pretty wild places, that's for sure. As far as video game plots go it is pretty deep, there's a lot of shit thrown at you and you're probably not going to understand all of it without supplemental reading.

It suffers from some insane pacing issues on the second disc due to rushed development, but otherwise a great game IMO.

To a degree. It dances a fine line of being pretty interesting and tossing religious imagery in a thoughtless manner at you like Evangelion or something

I liked the early combat mechanics with mechs and character combo systems, but the total game didn't live up to the hype outside of diehard nostalgia junkies. The story becomes a disjointed mess on the second disc (because it was officially unfinished).

First disc starts out nice with plot points and character development. Second disc can be summed up as "they clearly ran out of time"...

Would be nice to see a legit reboot, but something better than the Xenosaga garbage.
