I find that the people who travel the most have the least interesting lives. I have friends who are on two or three vacations every year. What's the line? "Don't you just want to get away from it all?" Uhh, no. I like where I live, the house I live in, my job, my neighbors. Oh, but you've got some albums of Facebook pictures which cost you several thousand dollars each. Cool, bro. I'm going to use that money to retire in my early 50s.

Its funny, Ive always had this mindset my entire life. Im 26 and I could count on both hands all of the trips Ive taken in my life. It wasnt until a few months ago that I got over my fear of flying and took my first flight ever. Experiencing different cultures made me feel that Ive missed out on so much in my life.

I wish I realized this when I was younger. I feel like Im getting too old to just start traveling now. I should be using this money to save up for a home.
