I support higher pay for EMT but not fast food.
Honestly fast food should just be a stopgap job to save up some money and go to community college and get a real degree and real job. No one in their 20s should settle for fast food and think they'll live off that job for the rest of their life. --- literally the jags ... Copied to Clipboard!

No and this is from someone in retail. I have my EMT-B and its worthless cause I make far more in retail management than I would as an EMT which is a crime in and of itself. The best EMT-B offer I found outside of Boston EMT was $13.75.

It's weird how people are so focused on some hypothetical degree of what people deserve that they don't give a shit what would actually make our society better. They would totally let segments of the population riot or waste away if they felt they deserved it, even if doing something even slightly differently could make our whole fucking system run more efficiently for everyone.
