When they didn't kill off Simpson in season 1 Jessica Jones, I assumed he was going to be a baddie in season 2. But then they bring him back... only to kill him off again? Lol what? It seems they replaced him and his drug enhancers with Trish using his drug enhancers. For me the moment that made me hate her was when she was egging on Malcolm to take the inhaler. It's one thing being an addict, but Drug pushers are the worst. That was nigh on irredeemable.

Nuke being turned into a prop was probably my biggest issue with S2. second was Trish apparently getting superpowers. Supersoldier Hellcat > Superpower Hellcat, imo.

Yeah Trish was so damn annoying in S2. She was tolerable in the first season but this time around she's becomes angry that Jessica isn't a crime fighting super hero and feels that she's wasting her powers (and is jealous that she doesn't have any powers), so she runs around doing dumb shit.

Trish's need to be a hero went all the way back to S1 as well, so her actions in S2 felt completely in-character for me.

Like, yeah, she was being really annoying, but she's always been really annoying -- she just couldn't do anything before getting Simpson's inhaler. At that point, she just naturally went OD with her obsessions.

Maybe they could've handled her better? Sure. But I had no problem with the direction they went with her, esp since her getting powers was the only thing I wanted them to do with her character since the start. So hopefully S3 will do a good job pitting her against Jessica.

I did kinda wish they didn't kill off Simpson so quick. No clue about his comic counterpart, but I just thought he was an interesting character. But whatevs -- they already had too many characters running around in S2 as it is.

1. Nuke not being killed off just to be brought back and killed off in a super lame way.

2. Remember the Chaste? Probably not. It's the group Stick was a part of. They totally set them up as being players down the line, so much so that they actually had Stone show up. He was this guy



But, they couldn't be assed to do anything with them or him so they were all just killed offscreen and explained away in a single sentence.

3. Black Sky. It was like a kid in DD S1 that Stick killed, but then down the line just kind of turned into Elektra. This one I'm not positive on, maybe they explained it and I just missed it.

4. Everything involving The Punisher at the end of DD S2. They spent the entire second half of the season setting up the blacksmith and establishing how The Punisher gets his arsenal, then in the second season he just kind of throws it away and then they re-hash the whole Blacksmith thing again but just make it bigger.

I'm fully expecting the either Mariah or Shades to either be killed off or hand waved away in Luke Cage season 2 with the way things have been going.

Also, was CAM given free reign to write and direct her own scenes or something? Most of Hogarth's scenes felt out of place with the subtext being outside the show's boundaries.

Oh you meant the entire netflix shows, I thought you meant just JJ. The simpson thing was pretty pointless. And anything related to the hand in the rest of the shows is just straight up garbage. Like I no longer give it the benefit of the doubt with how disappointing Defenders was.

I don't know who CAM is but Hogarth's scenes don't connect to the main plot like they did in season 1 which kinda makes them pointless, and there's still stuff about inez the nurse that I'm confused about. It was weird. This season has a lot of weird things and dare I say inconsistencies with the plot and characters, but I didn't really mind with the whole mother daughter theme. But there's definitely a lot of problems.
