it looks brown, but it looks coated in something. dont think its dirt, and i cant pick or scratch it off. i heard acetone can remove defects in coins so it is sitting in some now.
But one spot has cracked revealing original golden lustre. Ive never found a wheatie with it. I have several memorial cents from the 60s with original lustre, but no wheat pennies. if I can get this off, cool, but it looks sweet as it is after just a minute of acetone fields are a dark brown on the reverse, but one cent is almost all golden. it looks pretty sweet. ... actually i have two more brown/black and golden wheaties ive seen i decided to save, just hit me this must be a small bit of a collection.
1958 D 1940 1945 its weird. once in a while you see collections being sent through my store. a few months ago over the span of a few weeks i found around 10 100% brand new looking original lustre lincoln memorial cents from the 60s. ... Copied to Clipboard!
