One of my old neighbours went to jail for some kind of thievery. He was an old guy when I met him though, it was not recent. My cousin's husband's former friend has multiple felony convictions... he was always nice to us, but it was still scary once you heard about it. He was involved in extortion, among other things.

The worst is my buddy's little brother. No idea where he is now. Basically, his mom defended him no matter what he did wrong, and he wound up being a cocaine dealer last I heard. He probably doesn't have a long life expectancy.

Closest I can think of off the top of my head is this guy I met at a month long training iteration, I had added him as a friend on FB but never actually talked to him after the training.

Anyway his wife started posting on his account, she would post paragraphs at a time about how he was innocent and didn't do what they were accusing him of doing and stuff like that. I never did figure out what he had allegedly done but he did get convicted for it.

Yes, my sister. Shes turned her life around completely, but she got arrested as a teenager for theft. Shed steal from places like Target, Home Depot and Walmart all the time. The time she finally got caught was at a Good Will by an undercover security. (Side note, I didnt know Good Will had security of any sort, much less undercover security, lol.)

She was also really into drugs, which is why she ended up on the streets and homeless for awhile, which led to the stealing. My parents tried so hard to help her, but she didnt want to be helped. Or just wasnt ready. However you want to look at it.

She ended up pregnant and with nothing in jail, which I think was her rock bottom. She was only in there for a few months, I think. Cant really remember. It was years ago. She got out before she had my nephew, came back home and thats when she ended up turning things around.

This was all like 10 years ago.

Yeah, my oldest brother. Dude was in jail from when I was like, 3 or 4 years old (long enough to where I don't have any childhood memories of him when I was that young) until I was in my early 20s (basically from 1986/1987 to 2003ish). His sentence wasn't that long from the get...he got some years added for fighting (he defended himself from dudes trying to get with him...he is not about that life. Beat their asses so bad that he got in the most trouble for said fights).

My youngest sister also got locked up for a bit, for stealing. My 4 oldest siblings from my dad's first marriage had a really, really rough child-hood. (Their mother was on drugs real bad, thus the reason my dad got a divorce from their mother).

I never asked the specifics, but supposedly what got him arrested in the first place was selling weed.

Yeah. A guy I went to school with murdered his wife and baby over an argument about child support.

A bunch of people. Everybody you know whos had a DUI was at least processed in jail. Plus, I know others who have been sentenced.

i know someone that went to jail when they were 19 for stealing a ps3, somehow he finally recently got it to stop impacting his capability to find employment. seems like it fucked up his life for a long time.

Nothing serious though, very petty shit
Like warrants for traffic tickets and shit
Heard of some crazy shit for violence but didnt know em personal like that

I was friendly with a guy who got into a bit of trouble with the police at one point.

Yes. One of my best friends has been to county jail and a former coworker has been either also to jail or prison. Not sure which, but he beat 2 people with a wrench or tire iron or something like that.
